Video Transcript: The patient selection criteria are available on the website of the American Society of Breast Surgeons as well as the American Brachytherapy Society.

But in general the patient needs to be a candidate for breast conservation. Meaning a small tumor less than three centimeters with clean margins, that’s called negative margins, in other words there is no cancer on the margins that after the lumpectomy, greater than 45 years of age and lymph node negative.
